Dental implants are the closest thing to your real teeth. Because the titanium implant acts like the root of your tooth, implant-supported restorations, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures have extra support allowing for better function and aesthetics.
Wondering what the treatment process and timeline for dental implants are? Read on to find out...
Because the implant is connected to your jawbone, it allows for an enormous amount of stability for your restoration.
A missing tooth can make simple tasks like eating, speaking, and smiling challenging. Dental implants allow you to regain function and confidence.
Not only do dental implants replace missing teeth with natural-looking restorations, but they also compensate for bone loss, giving you a rejuvenated appearance.
The first step towards your renewed smile is a full examination of your teeth, jaw, and gums, followed by a consultation with Dr. Lindahl. During your consultation, Dr. Lindahl will recommend a treatment plan he feels is best for your unique situation. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions and address any concerns before you decide on your treatment plan.
The titanium implant is surgically inserted into your jaw by our oral surgery expert. The implant is covered with an abutment until your jaw has healed and we can place the restoration. Patients are typically under sedation during this procedure. We will work with you to minimize discomfort during your healing period.
It is critical we let your mouth heal, and the implant fully assimilates with your jawbone for optimum function and stability. This can take up to a few months.
Once your smile has healed, we will place your natural-looking, custom-made dental restoration. Depending on your smile, this could be a crown, bridge, or denture.
We can't wait to meet you!
