“When my alarm goes off in the morning, I wake up excited to go to work. Work isn’t really work when you love what you do and the people you work with! Dr. Lindahl has an incredible team that I am proud to be a part of. Dental hygiene is not just my job, it’s my passion. At Rolling Hills, we are dedicated to serving our patients’ oral well-being as it impacts their overall health.” When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, Barbara emphatically states, “All I knew is I didn’t want to be a mom!” A recipient of life’s benevolent twists of irony, Barbara is mother to five children, ages 5 to 22. In her own words, “Quiet moments and date nights are rare but treasured. As a family, we enjoy running, being outdoors, gardening, cooking, and anything else we can do together.” Barbara states her biggest professional inspiration is Dr. Borole, who started Smiles for Hope in Knoxville. Dr. Smita Borole and her team of volunteers serve the residents of Keys of Hope Housing Program where residents receive routine cleanings and restorative dental treatment that enhances their quality of life.

summerSummer  –  Registered Dental Hygienist
A truly resilient spirit, Summer brings 5 years of stellar experience, dedication, and compassion to our practice. A native of Tennessee, Summer knows firsthand the value of health and well-being having survived a serious bout with cancer when she was 3. Crediting the care she received at St. Jude’s as the reason she’s alive today, Summer was inspired by Esther Wilkins to pursue a career in oral health. Having written the “Hygiene Bible” that all hygienists use in school, Summer was impacted by Wilkins’ dedication: “[Wilkins] was a super smart woman!” It’s inspiring to see the way Summer applies herself when it comes to caring for her patients with the same knowledge and skill. Weekends, Summer loves to binge-watch Anime, and spend time with her husband and 2 year old son.
